Slow Progress

My Accomplishment

This week I was able to finished 1 lesson plan. I was able to check the papers of my two sections in their seat work. That is the only accomplishment I had this week. L

Fun but Stressful

My Significant Experiences

This week I only did so little because my cooperating teacher is not giving us so much to do to the point where you get bored. But during my lecture it was a bit fun and stressful because my students are so noisy. I can get along with some of them easily but then when they are comfortable with me they get so annoying because they don’t know how and when to shut up (well they are really like that, as what my CT said). But they are really annoying; I don’t want to get angry because they are already old enough to be scold. Killer eye and silent mode is not effective, promise! And some of them are so “chikadora”, they like asking private information about me. Maybe that’s why they act like that because my cooperating teacher doesn't do much in classroom management. Hehe :D, just my observation since I was still an observer. Not like the LAC who is really strict in classroom management that’s why I am also hard up in managing them. They already feel very comfortable to each other and to my CT. Though my CT is telling me to get angry sometimes but when you see them having a conversation with the teacher, do I have the right to say shut up and be quiet? I don’t think so.

  

Just My Perception

Insight

Being a teacher is not easy, with those stressful days and sleepless nights for preparing everything you need to prepare for the students, really stressful. And each day, it is what I feel, even if you are not doing that much, it’s as if you are bound to do something (na parang hindi ka mapakali, feeling mo ang dami mong gagawin). I don’t want to compare but I feel much better when I was in the public school even if there are a lot of things you need to do but just seeing your student and be greeted by them, you feel alright. But I guess I have to stay longer first with the new environment to see if I am making a wrong impression.

Problem

This week my problem is my rated lesson plan because there are a lot of interruptions. It is hard to finish 10 lesson plans even if you have 2 months to teach. It’s nearly December and I only finished 3 lessons. My other problem is in classroom management. It is worse than I thought.

Always Find a Way!

Solution

Since there are a lot of interruptions I have to depend first of what my CT is going to do and her decisions. Because those interruptions are actually those activities this month that’s why we can’t do anything but to wait till those activities are finished. And of course in the classroom management, I have to find ways to get their attention and interest.

Aim High and Be Positive

My Goal

My goal this week is to finish at least 1 or 2 lessons. And to be innovative and creative to give justice to the lessons I am bound to teach. And if ever that our demo teaching will not be postponed because of those interruptions, then I have to prepare myself again for the final judgment. :D
